Rachel + Eric | Elopement

I. LOVE. ELOPEMENTS.

When I met Rachel and her mom a few months ago and they began telling me about their Memphis elopement, I was dying inside. Ya know, the good kind of dying.
I met Eric the day of the elopement and it was so ridiculously apparent that these two are totally and completely head over heels for each other.
The glances, the touches, the sweet words, and just the sheer enjoyment of being together was so refreshing and inspiring!

The fabulous Amy Miller worked out all the details for their Peabody Hotel elopement. Just them, the Amy’s and a minister. It was perfect.
It poured cats and dogs all day and I just knew it was going to get real come time for their brief ceremony atop the Peabody and for photos afterwards.
But would you know… the rain stopped about half and hour before the ceremony and the sun peeked through the clouds at JUST the time of their vows and kiss.
It was like a movie.

We began at the Court House, where they became official and then sealed the deal on the Peabody rooftop.
Enjoy their story…

Rachel & Eric – 7 May 2012

Leaving with the paperwork and off to the Peabody…

AAAAND, it’s a done deal!

Rachel & her mom saw this Elvis graffiti while they were in town and when they told me they wanted “Memphis”, I had this down as our first stop. Elvis minds think alike. :D

Lol… “short and long ‘hauls'”… they forgot to hit spell check, but you get it anyway. That’s what these two are in it for… ;)

Ladies, champagne dress, short wedding dress, pink petticoat?? … amazing.

Touch-ups while we “Keep the party going.”

This photo. Right here. This is them. Not a care in the world of what’s around them, just with each other and loving it. Yep.

Special thanks to my sweet friend Jennifer Provost, who helped me during the day. You were fabulous!

One awesome set Amy and one of the best I’ve seen you post.

They look so in love and you documented it perfectly.

I love how warm your shots look. Not warm in temp, but warm in the sense you can feel the air, the way the ground feels, the sense of emotion. The black and white shots are great. The far off wide angle shots are great. Of course your trade mark reflection shots are so cool. Keep it going.

These are absolutely AMAZING! I have a soft spot for anything Memphis and I just love the way you captured the city and these two love birds.

If you don’t mind me asking, where is that Elvis graffiti?
